Lifelong search for intimacy

Nisse tells us his life story based on his diary, Nisse´s adventures on land and at sea. He talks about his 40 years at sea, a time when traveling across the world was a big deal.

We follow Nisse to the harbor areas where Nisse visits his “ladies”, gets his kangaroo tattoo, and we get to see some of all the wooden penises he carves in his bunk. He tells us the story of his beloved Brita who disappears into Alzheimer's and we find that the common thread in this life story is Nisses lifelong search for intimacy.
